I tried to make the construction pictures chronological.  Construction of the coop was based on a shed design and modified to have a porch and an overhang.  I used engineered panels because my wife wanted it to look like barn wood.  I partitioned the inside in order to provide a storage area that the chickens don’t have access to.  Egg boxes are accessible from this area.  There is a “poop” shelf under the perch which makes cleaning much easier.

I built a covered run for the chickens during the day and helps protect them from predators.  There’s an automatic chicken door that opens and closes based on the amount of daylight.
